Congratulations to our 2025 Scholarship Winners!

NCTA’s Education Committee announced the winners of the 2025 Member’s Dependent Scholarships. This year’s recipients will each receive $1,500 to further their university, college, or trade school education.

Member’s Dependent Scholarships are awarded annually. All dependent children of full-time employees of NCTA member companies in good standing are eligible and encouraged to apply. Applicants are judged based on their academic record, test scores, extracurricular activities, skills development, and personal statements of career interest.

NCTA thanks the members of its Educational Foundation Board, who chose this year’s scholarship winners from a strong field of applicants. Board members include Sharon Robinson, Blackhawk Mining, Co-Chair; Barbara Porter, Arch Resources Inc., Co-Chair; and Ben Jones, Tennessee Valley Authority.

Camden Schefus

Camden Schefus is currently enrolled at University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a declared major in Electrical Engineering. Camden is the son of Jon and Stacey Schefus. Jon is employed at Nebraska Public Power District in Columbus, Neb. Camden was also a 2024 scholarship recipient.

Gehrig Eoff

Gehrig Eoff is currently enrolled at Missouri University of Science and Technology with a declared dual major in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. He is the son of Cameron Eoff, who is employed by Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc.

Morgan Adams

Morgan Adams is currently enrolled at Seton Hill University with a declared major in Physician Assistant Sciences. She is the daughter of Craig Adams, who is employed by Core Natural Resources.

Leila Duncan

Leila Duncan is currently enrolled at Taylor University with a declared major in Christian Ministries. She is the daughter of Steven Duncan, who is employed by Core Natural Resources.
